The main higher education institutions in Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City are set to welcome thousands of students from around the world with a wide range of future-focused programs designed to help today's talent meet tomorrow's needs.
Aiming to bridge academic learning with the evolving demands of the job market as the potential of technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) permeates the entire economy, the new programs at Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City offer skills in emerging sectors such as green energy, financial technology, and sports performance.
"As we stand on the brink of a new era defined by complexity and rapid transformation, education is the pillar on which we must build our future," said Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Vice President of Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City.
The University of Wollongong in Dubai, based at Dubai Knowledge Park, will offer a new course program in green hydrogen technology to support the global transition towards a sustainable future. The University has also launched the Blockchain Innovation and Analytics Lab to study blockchain technologies, explore industrial synergies, and establish collaborative partnerships with industry and government entities.
With eight specializations, including finance, innovation and entrepreneurship, and healthcare management, the program allows students to tailor their learning experience to their career goals.
The University is also introducing the MSc Sports Performance Analysis course to equip students with advanced skills in response to the growing demand for precision in performance measurement, while its new MSc Financial Technology program addresses the need for expertise in the burgeoning fintech sector in areas such as AI, machine learning, and cryptocurrencies.
Its new MSc Legal Technology course will focus on cybersecurity, AI, privacy, and data protection to prepare students for successful legal careers centered around technology.
With a community of over 33,500 students representing more than 170 nationalities, Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City are helping to shape the global future by integrating the skills needed to successfully address the most urgent needs of tomorrow.
The University of Wollongong in Dubai will offer up to 50% merit-based scholarships for undergraduate programs, while Middlesex University Dubai's Academic Excellence Scholarship will allow students from partner schools to combine their academic excellence scholarship with a 2,500 AED grant.
