The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Romeo Brawner, visited the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) stand at the Asian Defense & Security (ADAS) exhibition in the Philippines. During his visit, he expressed significant interest in the company’s air defense systems, radars, and projects related to land and coastal defense. He was welcomed by Maxim Zemer, IAI's Vice President for Asia and Africa; Shay Gal, Vice President for External Relations; and Yair Katz, General Secretary of the IAI National Employees Union.
At the exhibition, IAI showcased a range of groundbreaking systems in the fields of air defense, radars, loitering munitions, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and electronic warfare.
Earlier this week, IAI inaugurated a local office in the Philippines, managed by RLM, which will serve as IAI's official representative in the country. This cooperation aims to strengthen the company’s presence in the Philippines by expanding business collaborations with government agencies, local companies, and academic institutions, serving as a regional hub for the compagny.
In recent years, IAI has expanded its activities in the Philippines while increasing its investments in the local market. More broadly, Asia is an important market for the company. IAI views its operations in the Philippines as an opportunity to achieve significant milestones that will serve as a growth engine for both the country and the region in the long term.
