Founded in 2017, Tastewise is an Israeli startup that leverages artificial intelligence to analyze billions of data points from recipes, restaurant menus, and social media posts. This analysis enables the company to predict emerging food trends and help brands develop products that meet consumer expectations—a huge revolution.

“Our platform allows marketing professionals, sales managers, and R&D teams to visualize consumer insights in real time and design the next marketing campaign, presentation, or product innovation with generative AI,” says Alon Chen, co-founder and CEO of Tastewise.

Significant Impact

Since its founding, Tastewise has experienced rapid growth. In March 2022, the company raised $17 million, bringing its total funding to $21.5 million. The round was led by Disruptive AI, an Israeli venture capital fund specializing in AI startups, with participation from existing investors such as PeakBridge and PICO Venture Partners.

Tastewise collaborates with leading companies such as Nestlé, PepsiCo, Kraft Heinz, and Campbell Soup Company, as well as with innovative startups like Just Egg. These partnerships highlight the platform’s significant impact on the food industry.

A Data-Driven Approach to Product Innovation

Above all, the platform allows companies to quickly simulate which products are most likely to succeed in the market.

“Historically, it took between 18 and 24 months to launch a new product, including nine months of data collection, consumer analysis, and countless surveys and focus groups—often anecdotal, biased, and costly. Today, with just one click, you can simulate which products will succeed and create new concepts overnight,” explains Alon Chen.

Tastewise continues to expand its global influence. The company plans to extend its operations into new markets, including Canada, Australia, Germany, France, and India.
