An Israeli delegation composed of 11 museums and one of the country’s leading museum technology start-ups will take part in the ICOM Dubai 2025 Summit, held this week (November 11–17). According to the International Council of Museums (ICOM), this marks the first time the organization’s global meeting is being hosted in the Arab world.

Among the participating Israeli institutions are the Israel Museum, the Haifa Museums, and ANU – Museum of the Jewish People. Members of the delegation will also speak throughout the summit, which explores the theme “The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Societies.”

Alongside the museums, Tema Creative, an Israeli start-up at the forefront of museum innovation, will showcase its cutting-edge technology that is redefining how visitors experience art, history, and culture—connecting collections with audiences and opening new horizons for curators, educators, and institutions worldwide.

“The participation of Israeli museums and an Israeli start-up specializing in museum innovation at this historic ICOM summit reflects our deep commitment to cultural exchange, innovation, and collaboration,” said H.E. Yossi Avraham Shelley, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. “This summit provides a unique opportunity to celebrate our shared dedication to art, history, and creativity that unite our cultures, while exploring new avenues for cooperation and mutual learning,” he added.

The participation of Israeli museums and a leading start-up in ICOM Dubai 2025 underscores the country’s determination to advance museum innovation and foster international dialogue within the cultural sector.
