An Israeli technology innovation startup is transforming the way major infrastructure projects are planned and executed worldwide. Co-founded in Tel Aviv, Exodigo is developing an advanced underground mapping platform that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and multi-sensor data fusion to provide a clear, detailed view of what lies beneath the surface.
Founded in 2021 by Jeremy Suard and Ido Gonen, former officers from Israel’s elite technological intelligence units and specialists in AI and signal processing, Exodigo took on a challenge long considered insurmountable: revealing the invisible. Where traditional mapping has relied on partial and often intrusive methods—such as boreholes, test pits, and fragmented historical records—Exodigo’s technology combines multiple types of sensors (ground-penetrating radar, magnetometers, electromagnetic and geophysical data) and processes them using machine-learning algorithms to generate comprehensive, highly accurate 3D models of the subsurface.
A game-changing technology
What sets Exodigo apart is its ability to map underground environments without excavation, detecting up to 20–30% more subsurface networks than conventional methods, while reducing exploratory digging and drilling needs by as much as 90%. These efficiency gains are not only economic; they also significantly reduce accident risks, environmental damage, and costly delays in infrastructure construction and maintenance.
Strong financial backing and global growth
Exodigo’s growth trajectory has been marked by major funding rounds, reflecting strong investor confidence in its technology and business model. In February 2024, the company closed a $105 million Series A round, bringing total funding to $118 million, co-led by Greenfield Partners and Zeev Ventures, with participation from SquarePeg, 10D VC, JIBE, and National Grid Partners. In July 2025, the startup raised an additional $96 million Series B, bringing total capital raised since inception to $214 million.
This round, also co-led by its longstanding investors, reflected a doubling of the company’s valuation and rapid expansion of its global operations, particularly in the United States, Europe, and Israel.
Looking beyond Earth
Exodigo’s ambitions extend beyond terrestrial infrastructure. The company is exploring potential applications of similar technologies beyond Earth, including on other planets such as Mars, where understanding subsurface structures could have major scientific and logistical implications.
A revolution for the built world
As infrastructure projects become increasingly complex, costly, and sensitive to environmental and human risks, Exodigo’s technology offers a new standard for underground mapping. By combining artificial intelligence, 3D imaging, and advanced sensors, the startup provides decision-makers with unprecedented visibility—delivering tangible benefits in safety, sustainability, and economic performance.
Exodigo exemplifies how innovation rooted in deep technological expertise can transform a massive global market, while contributing to the safer, smarter modernization of the cities of tomorrow.
