Creation, dialogue and experimentation are at the heart of Open Process, a unique cultural event taking place on Thursday, July 16, at the Hatahiya 14 creative complex in Jaffa. Bringing together contemporary art, photography, music, gastronomy and natural wine, the evening is organized by Hatahiya 14 in collaboration with the contemporary art platform KOOOOL. Rather than focusing solely on finished works, the event invites visitors to experience the creative process itself.

Starting at 7:30 p.m., visitors will be able to explore the complex freely, discovering artists' studios, workshops and exhibition spaces. Curated and produced by Shani Venestra, the event transforms the entire venue into a living artistic landscape where multiple disciplines interact and inspire one another.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy live performances, contemporary dance, sound art and immersive light installations. At the heart of the venue, a large-scale artwork will evolve in real time, allowing visitors to witness creativity in its rawest and most spontaneous form. Additional spaces will host choreographic performances, immersive installations and exhibitions by contemporary artists, offering a rich journey through today's creative scene.

One of the highlights of the event is "A Vanishing Profession," a photographic exhibition by Doron Kubo. The result of several years of documentary work, the exhibition pays tribute to Israeli artisans whose traditional crafts are gradually disappearing. Through intimate portraits and behind-the-scenes images, Kubo captures the gestures, techniques and stories that preserve an essential part of Israel's cultural heritage.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover projects developed during the third residency program of the Edmond de Rothschild Center. The five participating artists—Shira Oronbaev, Roy Ben Yehuda, Natalie Yitzhak, Ira Prokhorova and Tamar Perry—will present the research and artworks they created during their five-month residency at Hatahiya 14.

The evening will extend beyond the visual arts with a carefully curated culinary experience. MoBo, a specialist importer of natural wines, will host a pop-up wine bar featuring selections from Austria, Italy and France.

Chef Emanuel Peres, who previously worked in Brussels at a Michelin-starred restaurant before launching his own culinary venture in Israel, has designed a special menu for the occasion. Remaining true to his philosophy, he will showcase fresh, seasonal ingredients through refined, generous and approachable cuisine.

With Open Process, Hatahiya 14 reaffirms its commitment to making contemporary art more accessible while reminding visitors that every artwork is far more than its finished form. Behind every creation lies a journey of experimentation, collaboration and discovery—an invitation for the public to experience the beauty of the creative process itself.
