Speech disorders can make life particularly difficult and restrictive for those affected. To address this issue, which concerns 5 to 10% of the global population, the Israeli startup Voiceitt, founded in 2012 by Danny Weissberg, has developed a revolutionary AI-based speech recognition application. This cutting-edge technology helps people with speech difficulties communicate more easily. It allows children and adults with speech impairments, strong accents, or aging voices to access common voice-controlled technologies and devices.
Voiceitt is capable of understanding and translating atypical speech into clear language.
"We believe that communication is a fundamental right and that technology should be accessible to everyone," says Kirk Duncan CEO of Voiceitt.
Thanks to AI, the app learns the user's speech patterns, recognizes and transmits spoken phrases, and makes speech intelligible in text or audio.
The customizable technology adapts to the user's unique speech patterns and translates their words into a universally understandable language in real time. It can be used for face-to-face conversations or to control voice assistants like Alexa.

In addition to offering a personalized training experience, Voiceitt provides an intuitive and accessible voice interaction experience. The technology was developed in collaboration with people with speech disorders and speech therapists.
This innovative Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tool allows users to rediscover the joy of communication. The concept is simple: users train Voiceitt to recognize their unique speech patterns by recording phrase samples. The app requires 50 recordings before it is ready to use. The software continues to learn over time, and users can add vocabulary as needed.
The application is currently available in English in the UK, Europe, the United States, and Australia, with plans for further expansion. Voiceitt has collaborated with Amazon Alexa, Microsoft AI for Good, and specialized hospitals and won awards.
Voiceitt represents a major breakthrough for digital inclusion, giving a voice to those who had been deprived of one.
