Israeli artist Rachel Kini will inaugurate her new exhibition "A Call to Order" on March 6 at 7 PM at the Rosenfeld Gallery in Tel Aviv. She presents several series of works, some extending previous bodies of work, while others are the result of new artistic techniques. Rachel has honed her skills in watercolor, her preferred medium, to explore "the movement of crowds" and bring them to life on canvas. Over the past year, she has also incorporated earth pigments, used for the repair and restoration of ancient pottery, into her paintings.

One of the series featured in the exhibition depicts gatherings of people in various situations. Rachel drew inspiration from the anti-government protests that began in Israel in 2020 and intensified after October 7.

Through her paintings of people in motion, which sometimes resemble dance or struggle, Kini observes how individuals understand and function within a group. She seeks to create a new and harmonious order within the pictorial space, like an imagined microcosm of the outside world.
